Without intending any disrespect whatsoever, Ellen's vocals on this number have improved greatly with time -- though part of that outcome stems from the improved audio quality of recent Petersens videos.
Nevertheless, she -- with a big boost from the current band -- shows remarkable artistry on more recent versions of 'Jolene.' In this video, that artistry is yet nascent.
