Renewing an old acquaintance: Doc Watson

sounding as though they've been cleaned up. But who knows?

Story of a song
Doc Watson heard this song from his grandmother. Alison Kraus found it in Watson's recordings, and so must have changed "valley" to "river" -- an inspired choice. It's now a Bluegrass standard, with a very fine version done by the Petersen sisters, and another by a very young group of Burnett sisters.

Could yield some good ideas. I was mostly thinking of Walking the Floor. Some of the others would work nicely with updated arrangements. As is, they won't do, though.
